BMPC’S 51ST ANNUAL AND 5TH REPRESENTATIVE ASSEMBLY
ILOILO, City Mar 12-13 —Barbaza Multi-Purpose Cooperative held a two-day assembly to all the representatives of its 9 branches in Panay Island.
The assembly was the major event of BMPC every year because this is the time where all the representatives are gathered in one event. The main purpose was to deliver new information, plans and reports of the different committees of the cooperative. The representative had a chance to asked questions regarding the status of the cooperative may it be in its financial status, its programs and services.
Hon. Orlando R. Ravanera, CDA Chairman was the key note speaker of the said assembly.
Ravanera mentioned about the readiness of the cooperative in the next 100 years, “I would like to report to you that after 100 years we are ready, after 100 years I will tell you this, we’ll steal the heights with 25,600 cooperatives with 14 million members”.
He also mentioned that we should unite because we only have one weapon and that is the cooperative.
Likewise during the program Hon. Gerry Necor, municipal Mayor of the Municipality of Barbaza shows his support, together with Mr. Emmanuel Solis, representative of COOP NATCO Party List, and Mr. Dominador Co, Executive Assistant for Tourism delivered the message in behalf of Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog of Iloilo City.
The theme of this year’s assembly “BMPC Beyond 50: Propelling Financial Inclusion Towards Sustainability calls for the legacy of the cooperative that embarked to the next fifty years of serving the people and the community.
