Each year, the cooperative owners convene for a local annual district assembly to ensure democratic influence of the cooperative owners in the area where Barbaza Multi-Purpose Cooperative is operating. The members in the district assembly elect members to represent their district on the upcoming 9th Representative Assembly. Barbaza Main Office have 7 districts on its area. Culasi Branch have 5 districts, Sibalom have 6 districts, San Jose Branch have 7 districts, Balasan Branch have 1 District, Barotac Viejo Branch have 3 District, Caticlan Branch have 3 Districts, Molo Branch have 2 Districts and Kalibo Branch also have 1 District.
Aside from electing the representatives, the Managers and Officers of Barbaza MPC apprise the status to the members of the Cooperative. From membership to each of the cooperative’s business performance and income. New products and services was also introduced during the meeting like the Kaya Payment Platform which is the new online banking platform of Cooperatives under the Federation of NATCCO to compete with the commercial ones. An attendance raffle promo is then held to wrap up the meeting.
